Pesquera Torres del Paine Ltda is a private company which was founded in 1990 as a processor of frozen and canned seafood products in Chile’s far southern XII Region.

With a processing plant in Punta Arenas and a wholly owned subsidiary – Productos Marinos Puerto Williams Ltda, a processing plant at Puerto Williams, Province of Navarino, XII Region.At our processing plants, advanced, specialized equipment guarantees high efficiency and product safety. Both plants operate under HACCP rules and are authorized for exports to the European Union, Russia, China & USA (amongst others).

Raw material used by our crab processing plants arrives from the fishing grounds to the fishing terminals at Puerto Williams aboard shuttle boats. In the case of crab, they are kept live until unloaded at the processing facility through the use of live wells inside the shuttle boats. These transport vessels belong to the company and to independent boat owners as well.

At the height of the fishing season, the company employs approximately 300 people between both plants. In the case of Productos Marinos Puerto Williams Ltda., the company provides all travel arrangements to bring personnel from other areas of Chile to work at Puerto Williams during the 10 month season. Room and board is provided by the company.

Considered as one of the places on the planet with the most difficult sailing conditions, the area where our raw material comes from speaks of the sacrifice and dedication of the hundreds of fishermen that on a daily basis give their best to bring their catches to our plants.

This area, within the archipelago whose Southernmost point – Cape Horn – has always been the greatest challenge for the most experienced sailors, is where our fishermen stay, for months at a time, working and battling the sea. Their effort is what makes our industry successful.

The combined efforts of our fishermen, plant workers, managers and specialized personnel, have enabled us to create the quality teamwork that is the foundation for the reliability that we can offer to our customers.
